Sealers
We offer a variety of sealers suited for use on bonsai. Essentially these can be divided into liquid and putty types.
As a general rule, liquid sealers are used on small cuts and putty types on large cuts such as when a branch is removed from the trunk.
Liquid sealers will create an air and watertight seal and will usually need to be cleaned or scraped off or will peel off with time as the bark exfoliates.
Putty or solid types of sealers form a crust over the cut area allowing the callous to form below. Once this callous has formed the putty will fall off on its own accord.
