If you do not wish to invest in dedicated bonsai tools then this pruner is your next best option at a fraction of the cost. The high quality construction and blade will ensure many years of use.
I'm really impressed at the sharpness, lightness and reachability of these scissors. Great buy!
I picked up this stainless steel pruner from Bonsai Tree specifically for use on my Spekboom collection. The narrow nose gets right in between those small Porty leaves so you can prune exactly where you mean to, and it’s extremely sharp, so the cuts are super clean. Japanese standard of quality at a fraction of the price of some of the other bonsai tools on the market. Highly recommended.
Very good buy, well made
I have a garden nursery, florist and use pruning scissors everyday. I bought about 5 pruning scissors from different suppliers and none of them last very long until I found this Scissor! I just order 2 more for the nursery. The scissor is very sharp, easy to use lightweight, you can carry it on you. I would highly recommend this scissor for any Gardner, florist and bonsai grower. I used the scissor to trim and shape plants, deadhead, prune out dead or damaged foliage, small branches, cut back perennials trim bonsai's and also use it when I do flower arrangements. The scissor have a high quality blade, stay sharp. A pruning scissor is one of the most-used gardening tools so it’s important to get a pair that works best for you, the scissors have straight blade that cuts as it closes onto a flat edge – giving an action similar to a knife on a chopping board, blade is extremely sharp. Keep in mind, however, that you get what you pay for – cheaper products may not stand up to frequent use and so may need to be replaced often. A slightly larger investment in a higher quality set of pruning shears may be cheaper in the long run. The hardened-steel blades are strong enough to withstand sharpening dozens of times. The blades are sharp enough to slice through spindly stems and thick branches swiftly, efficiently although I would not recommend it. Pruners have one job on this earth, and that is to make straight, clean cuts without hurting your hands. The high quality blade will last.
I'm very happy with this pruning scissors. Simply, you get too much for your money! It's very lightweight, sharp and ergonomic. It cuts very clean and easy. The quality of material and build is unquestionably super. Thank you
