Yasuki Steels
| SK Steel | Carbon Steel. Used to make scissors, kitchen knives and other general cutlery |
| Yellow Steel | A higher quality form of SK Steel, where more impurities have been removed. |
| White Steel | More rigid than yellow steel. This material is often used for hatchets and Deba knives |
| Blue Steel | One of the best steels available for general cutlery. It is produced by adding chromium and tungsten to white steel |
| Silver Steel | A form of Yasuki steel which does not easily rust |
Craftsmen of old used coloured paper to differentiate steels, blue, white and yellow, giving rise to steel-naming custom still seen today: not related to metal colour.

A Real Gem

Pleasantly Surprised
Amazing little scissor for its size. Was great straight out of the box, extremely sharp - cuts like a knife through hot butter. Nice smooth snipping action. Size makes it great for small nooks and crannies. Needs a bit more maintenance being of carbon steel, might be difficult to use for people with big hands.

A “small” addition with a big impact.
This pair of small scissors has been great addition to my growing bonsai tool set. It allows me to get to those really difficult branches amounts the rest of the foliage. Quailty is of the highest standard.
