Introducing Crushed LECA - The Ultimate Growing Medium

Crushed LECA, or Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate, is the perfect choice for gardening enthusiasts, bonsai lovers, and orchid caretakers. This innovative product offers a multitude of benefits that set it apart from traditional growing mediums:

    Key Features:

    • Durable and Long-Lasting: Made from expanded fired clay, Crushed LECA is designed to withstand the test of time. It does not decompose, ensuring longevity in your growing environment.
    • Organic-Free Composition: With no organic substances present, Crushed LECA remains rot-free and parasite-free, providing a safe and healthy medium for your plants.
    • pH and Salinity Neutral: This medium will not alter the salinity or pH levels of your soil, allowing for a stable growing environment for all your plants.
    • Enhanced Drainage and Aeration: When combined with Peat Moss, Crushed LECA dramatically improves drainage and increases porosity, ensuring roots receive the vital oxygen they need for optimal growth.

    Perfect for All Planting Needs:

Whether you're rooting collected wild trees or nurturing delicate orchids, Crushed LECA is your go-to solution. Its versatility makes it ideal for:

    • Yamadori Trees: Use pure LECA with frequent watering for robust root development in collected species like Wild Olives.
    • Bonsai Cultivation: For most trees, combine Crushed LECA with Peat Moss in a 70/30 ratio. Adjust the ratio to increase moisture retention in more mature trees.

    Complement Your Growth:

Take your plant care to the next level by pairing Crushed LECA with BonsaiBoost, a 100% plant organic fertilizer specially formulated for fast-draining mediums. Experience superior growth and vibrant plants with this dynamic duo.

Choose Crushed LECA for a reliable, effective, and easy-to-use growing medium that supports your gardening ambitions!

    LECA review

So far I've had a really fabulous experience with the Leca. I used it with acadama and pumice in a 1:1:1 ratio and my trees are thriving in it.

    Crushed Leca & general purchases

Superb item for my cacti & succulents as either drainage in the small pots & to mix with the cactus soil to improve drainage. I also use it as decoration around some of my plants in pots, prevents too much heat reaching the delicate roots.
