Note! The valve on this wand can be used to regulate flow ONLY t is NOT a shut off valve. When finished using the wand, turn off the water at the tap or adamage may result.
Bonsai are planted in growing media which is rather easily disturbed and can readily be washed away if watered incorrectly. These handy watering wands from Kikuwa deliver a fine spray ideal for bonsai.
To install this watering wand follow the following simple steps; boil some water and pour this into a container, place the last 3 - 4cm of your garden hose into the boiling water and allow to soak so the hose softens, force the hose onto the end of the watering wand as far as you can and allow to cool.
Don't use these watering wands under high pressure. They are best used under low pressure and always water with a fairly fast side to side action. Never direct the water at a bonsai and maintain that position as you need to allow some time for water to drain through without accumulating and washing away your growing medium.
For those days when nothing else will quench your trees’ thirst, nothing beats this watering wand! Easy to install and simple (and highly effective) to use. The built in control valve makes shutting off the flow when you need to as easy as a flick of your thumb. The super fine spray makes watering any size tree a breeze and won’t disturb your soil. I don’t know how I managed without this wand, a must have in any bonsai garden.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review, Sean. We are delighted that you enjoy using the new watering wand so much! :)
Excellent product , totally has changed my watering technique and time.Worth every cent ! Might I add , the service I received from the Bonsai Tree team was exceptional , from tracking my parcel to the follow up of customer satisfaction
Like the feel of the wand. Nice extension of my arm.
Have the wand without the tap, hated pinching the hose to adjust flow, love the easy tap system to sweep over gentle and normal bonsai now
After years of filling, carrying and refilling bonsai watering cans (which work really well but can be labour-intensive), I just fail to understand why I didn’t buy a watering wand years and years ago! I have attached it to the hose from a rainwater tank and mirabile dictu no more bending, lifting, carrying! Perfect fine spray and perfect for my aching back! Half the time, half the effort - more than double the pleasure! Oh, did I say I just love my purchase? Lol
