Overview
The Sarracenia, or American Pitcher plant can be found naturally growing in North America. These carnivorous plants are one of the easiest to grow. Should you have a spot outside which will receive full sun and where you can provide the plants with good, clean water then you too can grow Sarracenia.
Commonly grown in pots sitting in water, Sarracenia should never be allowed to dry out. Always keep pots in a few centimeters of water. If you have a number of plants you can place them all in a tray filled with water which you can top up as and when needed.

Repotting
You will not need to repot this plant upon receipt. We recommend that you do repot in winter dormancy, (around May, June to July) every 1 or 2 years, or when the media develops an unpleasant odour. Use a growing medium specifically for carnivorous plants.

My Trumpet Pitcher
Upon recieving my latest purchase(which was packaged beutifully) i found a dormant plant with not much to show. However in the past few months it has grown wonderfully and open pitchers have developed. Absolutely amazing

Such an awesome little carni. Bought during its dormancy period, and now it’s starting to look great as it ends its dormancy. Plant arrived packaged nicely to protect it during travel, and it arrived looking great. A really nice addition to any carni collection.
